Trip to Carolina
We had such a great trip last week. We had a pretty open calendar this summer, so we took the opportunity to visit Josh's sister and her family who live in Charlotte, North Carolina. We were sooooo excited for this trip, and it surpassed all our expectations.
We flew for the first time as a family of 6. We were also able to travel diaper free!!!! Woo hoo!!!!!!! The kids all did great on the plane. We had a few other kids around us that didn't do so great.
We went to the Atlantic Ocean, a first for everyone except Joshua. The kids had a great time in the water and played in the sand a little. The water was the temperature of bath water, so it was nice and warm. I love Kate's reaction the first time she tasted the water. She thought something was really wrong and said it tasted bad. Once I explained it was salt water (she's only ever been to an ocean when she was 6 weeks old), she decided it must be ok, and just kept on playing.
The cousins got to play almost all day, every day. They even put on a play the last night we were there. We had the best time with the Blakes. They fed us great food. Great visiting. We just plain old had a great time. Thanks, Blakes!
