Saturday we went to our ward breakfast. They make pancakes, and a guy in our ward does a Mountain Man breakfast in dutch ovens. It's really yummy! Then we came home and worked on sprinklers. So exciting. In the afternoon, we needed a fun activity, so we headed to the theater and saw Toy Story 3. It was good! We did our home fireworks that evening.
Sunday, (the real 4th) we enjoyed singing patriotic songs at church and having dinner at Mom and Dad Jensen's house.
Monday, we woke up really early and headed to Provo. Josh ran the Freedom Run 5k. He didn't get his best time, but almost. I missed taking a picture of him actually running, but we did cheer him on and did an after picture.
Then we hooked up with some friends from our ward who had connections to a spot to sit on the parade route since people are CrAzY! So we watched the parade. The kids did great. The parade seemed like it had less stuff this year. I guess the economy affects everything. We kinda chilled in the afternoon and watched Willy Wonka, then Joleen came for a good old BBQ.
Happy Birthday, America!
