Anders is finally on a winning team

For those of you who know Anders, he loves sports and is extremely competitive. Unfortunately, the teams that he usually plays on are made up of the 'leftover' kids, and so they struggle to compete. This year, Anders made it onto a soccer team, made up of some pretty decent soccer players, including himself. Anders was also lucky to get a very good soccer coach. His coach was very good about practices and  encouraging the kids on Anders' team and you could  see the progress his team made through the season. Anders got to play Center Mid-fielder, Stopper (center defender),  and some forward. Anders has played with great hustle and has grown to be one of the dependable players on his team. You can tell he enjoys the game. 

Anders' team ended up the season 6-2, losing just to one team twice. Anders also had scored his first outdoor soccer goal two weeks ago. You would have thought his team won the World Cup, as he celebrated by running down the soccer field, arms high in the air, screaming for joy. It was a great moment for him. (Think Brandy Chastain olympic moment, without him taking his shirt off.)  Because of this success, soccer may just supplant baseball as his favorite sport (but we will see if that is still the case next spring.)

Anyway, Anders last game was yesterday, played in the rain/snow mix, and resulted in another win. I also think it was Anders greatest hustle effort to date. Congratulations to Anders for a fun-filled season.
