The trip is getting better and better. We left Cheyenne at 8:30 and we made it to Omaha at 3:30. A seven hour trip. We stopped in North Platte this time for a break, which went well. The great thing was, we got to Omaha a lot earlier than expected, which is allowing us to change up some things.
In our original plans, we planned to visit the Mormon Trail Visitor Center on Tuesday morning before heading to Nauvoo. Since we got to Omaha so quickly, we were able to tour the visitor center today! After that, we hit the McDonalds drive thru for dinner, then headed back to our hotel.
Since we did the visitor center today, that allows us to leave earlier tomorrow, and we plan to create a detour enroute to Nauvoo via Carthage Jail. We are pretty excited about that.
Our room is pretty good again. This time it has a sleeper sofa, which allows Kate (the most unlikely to ever fall asleep) to have her own bed to sleep in.
The hotel also has a pool, and so we all put on our swimming suits and headed to the pool. Kate was deathly afraid since it was so deep (3 ft) and after a while she just sat on the chair at the side of the pool. Anders is getting braver and had a lot of fun playing around in the water. Fischer is still remembering how to swim from his swimming lessons, and so we were helping him with that. Hadley got her first exposure to a swimming pool and she got really good at frog kicks when we held her in the pool. We all had a lot of fun getting out our energy.

That's great how that worked out! You know, if you turn back know you can still make it for girls night ;)
I am so glad that your trip is going so well. It sounds like Hadley is doing a good job as a fully qualified "patience tester" Good luck on the rest of your trip!
