Pinewood Derby

This year, Fischer decided he wanted a lego pinewood derby car.  He and his Dad got to work designing it and figured out a good design.  Then they had to attach it to the wood part of the car.  Fischer's car was called Delta 7 because it was modeled after a Star Wars ship of some sort.

Last year, I'm pretty sure he came in dead last every race because we had to add weight to the bottom of the car which made it drag on the track.  So this year, I was just hoping for a better finish.  He raced four times, once on each lane.  His fastest time was 3.9 seconds which the guy running the track said anything under 4 seconds was really fast.  He did win one of his heats, but he wasn't the fastest of all the cars, but it was still a lot of fun!
